Metaphors vs. Suits

How to represent how useful a firm can be rather than who they are.

The task was:
  • Create a print campaign targeted towards Union Workers.

  • Create a peer to peer print campaign for attorneys.

  • Unify these campaigns and strengthen the brand of the firm.

Using imagery to speak of character:

This campaign offered the unique opportunity to design to two different markets simultaneously. A labor targeted campaign and a peer to peer campaign.

Our first campaign was designed for the Labor 411 directory and we designed it to speak to Union Workers. The original hard hat image was of a hard hat photographed on a stove top. The re-illustration of all of the helmet labels took a great effort to place all of the accolades and associations that the firm wanted to relate. Following the initial success of the hard had advert we used another tool, this time a Swiss army knife, to create an ad to bolster referrals and show the firm had “the right tools for the job.” Both of these ads were then redesigned in different sizes to maximize the use of time and use each of them for online and within print.
