Creating an injury timeline for trial.

Every case tells the history of an event. Each event has a timeline that best shows the information effectively and those timelines vary radically. Choosing the best timeline that showcases relevant information quickly and effectively requires good design.

The task was:
  • Showcase injuries through the years.

  • Use images from a medical file.

  • Compare images that are years apart quickly.

Unique solution:

Every case is unique and has a unique history. Whether that timeline tells the story that happens within minutes or years requires a different designed timeline. Narrative Graphics has been creating a variety of timelines for different cases since 2012. Many of the timelines we design have been tested in trial and scrutinized for how effective they have been. We take that feedback and response and come back and make changes in each timeline we have been designing. Timelines that look complicated can confuse. Timelines that look too slick may take the focus away from the relevant information. We know how important it is to design timelines that are informative, attractive and most importantly functional and effective.
