Illustrating an Injury and the Subsequent Surgery
Creating a series of illustrations that demonstrated a femoral fracture and hip replacement.
The task was:
Create illustrations following X-Rays and MRI’s.
Illustrate different steps that show a procedure.
Repurpose these illustrations so they could be animated within a presentation.
Creating illustrations based on X-Rays and MRI’s.
By carefully reviewing X-Rays and MRI images supplied to us, we illustrated the initial femoral fracture. We then created illustration following the surgical steps of the procedure to replace the hip. This included removing the femoral head, cabling the femur back together, and inserting a prosthetic hip into the femur attaching a acetabular component and reinserting the hip into the pelvis.
These illustrations were placed into a presentation and animated so the attorney could guide a jury through each step in detail. Click this link here to see the animation of this illustration.
