Relating visual facts to dispel unnecessary complications
What happens when a tractor trailer meets a compact car going 20mph slower?
The results of an accident often aren’t very pleasant. How to introduce unpleasant things to people is an art form all of its own. So in this presentation we are faced with that very problem.
The task was:
Demonstrate the results of an accident.
Introduce the specifics of the vehicles.
Illustrate how much force was applied.
Unique solution:
Sometimes you can slowly build up to an event that relates just how powerful that event was. This is exactly what we did through these animations. We introduce people to the vehicles involved, and the details of each vehicle. We then represent the results of the impact that occurred within the vehicle that was hit. We demonstrate that the driver was wearing their seatbelt and that the seatbelt was a standard unibelt system. Finally after we have built up the details we introduce the photographs and illustrate the location of the axle of the vehicle hit after the impact.
