Booklet to Inform and Engage the Public

Informative booklet designed to engage and inform the community. This book was supplemental to an ad campaign whose sole purpose was to raise awareness about Elder Abuse. There were print and radio advertisements that supported a seminar on Elder Abuse and this booklet was the take away. By engaging the public through different channels this booklet was given a great deal of attention. After a short period of time, the public began walking in solely to get a copy of this booklet.

The task was:
  • Design an elegant and informative brochure.

  • Support that brochure with a specific ad campaign.

  • Continue to engage the public through different media and build interest.

Unique solution:

The project was unique in that it had to bring attention to suffering in a way that wouldn’t make the target audience feel uncomfortable.

Relating empathy along with law was a bit tricky. The amount of words that the client wanted also started making the text smaller which would again alienate the target audience. More pages with images and larger text that spaced the information out was critical in making this piece functional.

Paired with a radio and print campaign and bolstered in social media this booklet took on a life of its own and drew a wider client base in to the client.
